Abstract

The categories «legitimacy», «legitimacy of state power», «democracy» remain an important point in the debatable constructions of leading researchers of modern social and humanitarian knowledge and correlate with the functioning of international politics. In any society, some citizens will disagree with the rules that set the rules of the game in the political field, will not intentionally express support, or will do so under various forms of coercion. What is important is how widespread these phenomena are in a particular society and how they affect the legitimacy of state power?
